Tom Sutherland

I'm a PhD student of Tom Bridgeland in the Department of Pure Maths at the University of Sheffield. Since October 2010 I have been permanently visiting the Mathematical Institute of the University of Oxford.

Conferences and Seminars

I am an organiser of the Calf, a traveling algebraic geometry seminar for graduate students which meets about five times a year. If you would like to speak, then please get in touch.

I'm keeping a list of meetings I'm planning to attend. There is also an archive of past events.

Things I've written

The modular curve as the space of stability conditions of a CY3 algebra - This preprint describes the space of stability conditions of the Ginzburg algebra of the A2 via the periods of the Seiberg-Witten differential on a family of elliptic curves.

Etale Cohomology - This is the essay I wrote as a Part III student in Cambridge. In theory it should be understandable to someone with a first course in algebraic geometry. It will not be free of errors as it was written in a short space of time, but it might give an idea of what a Part III essay is like.
